Urgent Prayer Requests

• 11/30/2010: Update on Bob: As you know, Bob came home on Thanksgiving.  Since then he hasnot been able to get out of bed.  He tries each day, but does nothave enough strength.  The heart attack has caused othercomplications with some of his organs not working as well as theyhave in the past.  This afternoon hospice was called and Bob is still at home but listed in critical condition.  We praise the Lord thathis chest pain is gone but he is not doing well at this point.Charlyne asks for your prayer.  We pray that God will not allow Bob to suffer if now is the time that He wants Bob to go home to be with Him. We also continue to pray that God will perform a miraculous healing if He has more for Bob to do here on earth. The nurses are currently giving Bob hours to days to live, but we know that the Greatest Physician, Jehovah Rophe, can still intervene and heal himcompletely.
  Please also hold Charlyne and her family up in prayer.  Bob and Charlyne’s sons, Tim and Tom, are with Charlyne now by Bob’s side.Their daughter Lori and her husband Scott are in Ohio with theirdaughter Ashley, who is scheduled to have her surgery on Thursday.Please pray for peace for Lori as in our eyes this seems like poortiming, but God’s timing is perfect.Future updates on Bob and Ashley will be on the Chapel page -http://rejoiceministries.org/chapel.html

• 10/1/2010: Update on Bob Steinkamp: He has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer on their 44th wedding anniversary.  But he remains faithful and courageous. Please keep in prayers.
• 8:05am 8/14/2010: Urgent Prayer Request – Please keep the Steinkamps in prayer ( https://rejoiceministries.org/) .  Bob Steinkamp was taken to the hospital and as of last report is in critical condition.  His wife, Charlyne, was in earlier this past week with a catheterization.
• 11:30/5/19/2010: Urgent Prayer Request -Your prayers are needed this morning (Wednesday) for our friend Rex Johnson, Co-Director of Covenant Keepers, Inc in Charlotte, NC.  Rexwill be undergoing surgery at 11:30 A.M. this morning. Please pray for uneventful surgery and a speedy recovery.  May Rex and his wifeCarolyn sense Jesus walking with them each step of the way today.
• 3/23/2010: Please pray for God’s mercy and protection for both persecuted and persecutor in Pakistan where anti-Christian violence is claiming the lives of our dear brothers and sisters.  A Christian father and pregnant Christian girl (she had been sold as a sex slave) have both been burned alive, the girl is dead and the father is fighting for his life with burns over 80 % of his body and his wife was raped in front of their 3 children for refusing to give up his faith.
• 10:30am/3/12/2010: Therese had surgery Thursday evening for a fractured hip.  She has
  beentaken back into surgery this morning for a brain bleed following
  paralysis on one side of her body and loss of her ability to speak
  overnight.  Please pray for Therese and this entire family.  Pray
  also the God would give the surgical team wisdom  work right now. They
  will post an update later this afternoon on the Rejoice Chapel page.
• 3/12/2010: This weekend please pray also for all standers and their families,
  asking God to move in every situations. In addition to marriage
  restoration, many others need your prayers for their healing and the
  healing of their loved ones. Others are facing tremendous financial
  and employment problems.  You can find many of these listed on the
  Rejoice Chapel page
• UPDATE on 3/12/2010 Prayers: Thank you so much for your prayers today for Therese, our son’s
  mother-in-law who had surgery Thursday evening on a fractured hip.
  Early Friday morning she suffered a stroke and a brain bleed. The
  surgeon was able to get part of the clot, but not all of it. The
  doctor explained that she may have limitations due to the location
  of the clot. But nothing is impossible with God. Therese is in ICU
  for the weekend, as we pray for no more bleeding in the brain. We
  would appreciate your prayers. Monday they hope to move Therese to
  another floor of the hospital to start Rehab.

Prayers for Standers and Restored Marriages

10/11/2009: Please pray for standers who need winter clothing for themselves and their children and funds to winterize their homes and vehicles before the start of winter.  Please pray that God will meet their needs.

10/2/2009:  Please pray for Eva who has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. She now has Hospice. She knows the Lord, but let’s pray for a healing of her marriage with Ray before she meets her Lord.

A stander who is a teacher in the south had a 17 year old student shot and killed.  Please pray that God will guide her as she ministers to grieving  students at her school.

Several standers are having surgery this week.  Please pray for them, as well as for all standers and their loved ones who have serious health problems.

Many couples are scheduled for divorce court this week.  They would certainly appreciate your prayers.

On this Monday please pray for every standers who feels their church has failed them.  The place that should be helping them to stand strong has brought them hurt and strife.  May every church bind the Enemy that has snuck in and take on the responsibility God has given it of proclaiming Jesus and helping the hurting.

Update on Imran Ghafur (10/22/2010)
On Jan. 11, 2010, Imran Ghafur Masih was sentenced to life in prison and fined 100,000 rupees ($1,155 U.S.), according to The Voice of the Martyrs contacts. His family has appealed the decision to the Pakistan High Court and is awaiting a hearing date.  VOM encourages you to send a letter to Imran, letting him know you are praying for him. Also pray for his persecutors. Tell your friends about Christians suffering in Pakistan, and encourage them to pray for Imran and to write to him as well.Your letters make a difference; they can result in shorter prison sentences for those accused. Please write to Imran and encourage our Pakistani brother.

Christians in Iran are reporting that Pastor Youcef Nardarkhani has been sentenced to death for what is called a “thought crime.”

IRAN — Nine Believers Arrested (10/1/2010)
Nine Christians were arrested recently in Hamedan, Iran, on charges of engaging in journalistic activities, according to Farsi Christian News Network (FCNN). Iranian state television reported that two of those arrested were supported by organizations from the United States and Great Britain, but their nationalities are unknown. The other seven were reportedly accused of cooperating with “Christian-Zionist organizations.” The Iranian government uses this terminology to describe Christians who have access to a number of evangelistic networks and TV satellite programs.

TURKMENISTAN — Update: Family Concerned About Imprisoned Pastor’s Health 9/24/2010
The family of Pastor Nurliev has expressed concerns about his health after learning that he is being held in a crowded and smoky cell, according to Forum 18 News. Pastor Nurliev’s wife, Maya, has been denied access to her husband since he was arrested on Aug. 27 in Mary, Turkmenistan, on charges of large-scale swindling.

CHINA – Churches Closed, Leaders Threatened 9/18/2010
On Aug. 5 and 6, the Chinese government shut down three house churches in Wuhan, Hubei; Sanmenxia, Henan; and Changsha, Hunan, according to China Aid Association. The churches all belonged to the China Gospel Fellowship, one of the largest networks in China, with an estimated 5-7 million members.

Neshan Saeedi, a 27-year-old Christian, has not been seen since his arrest by government authorities in July, according to the Farsi Christian News Network.

Afghanistan 8/20/2010 10 Christian Aid Workers Killed

Ten members of a Christian aid team were murdered in northern Afghanistan on Aug. 5 after spending three weeks providing medical care to villagers, according to The New York Times.

India 8/13/2010 Students Detained- Police Accuse Them of Converting Muslims

“The students had been working with Compassion for India ministry, serving the poor and underprivileged in and around Lucknow. Police accused the group of converting Muslims, and while in detention the pastor and his team were questioned about their work. The police also took money from the pastor before releasing the students from custody.”

IRAN 8/13/2010 New Believers are Arrested

“At last report, the two remaining detainees, 48-year-old Reza and 23-year-old Ehsan Behrooz, remained in detention because they refused to sign any forms or post bail. Pray that the Lord will strengthen these new believers as they face this trial. Pray that the two remaining detainees will be released without charge and that their strong testimony will lead others to consider the source of their peace and strength.”

German doctor Johannes (36), his wife Sabine (36), their three children Lydia (4), Anna (3) and Simon (1) and British engineer Anthony S., all of who were kidnapped in Yemen on June 22.Please continue to uphold these folks in your prayers. The organization they serve with, Worldwide Services, has not yet given up hope of their safe return and neither have we.

Prayers For the Sick

1/12/2010-Please pray for Rob’s wife who is having surgery on January 12.  Please pray for the Lord to guide the surgeon’s hands to preform this delicate operation.  By the stripes she is healed and her marriage also.

1/11/2010 -Please pray for Rita who was diagnosed with Leukemia two years ago.  She has not had any treatment.  Please pray for a normal white blood count and a total healing from Jehovah Rophe.  By the striples she is healed.  Nothing is too hard for God.

1/11/2010-Please pray for Mrs. M. who lives internationally who is constant pain.  Please pray for a healing.

1/11/2010-Please continue to pray for Lee-Anne who has been battling cancer for this past year,  now starts radiation.  Jehovah Rophe heal her and her marriage completly in the Name of Jesus. May her teenage children be able to return home to live with her soon.

Two prayer requests please:

 

First: Long time friend has had re-occuring colon cancer for the last three years. She is taking chemo now. Please pray that the Lord will redeem her time and remove all the cancer and side effects. She is a believer in the Living God through Christ JesusSecond: One of my bestfriend’s , her mother inlaw is hospitalized since Friday with a large inoperable tumor and possible heart failure. She does not know the Lord. We are praying for two miricals, Salvation for her and the entire family and healing.Thank you for your prayers.
